4 Day Work Week- PPD has been working 4- 10 hour days on most jobs in effort to reduce gas consumption for the company as well as our employees.  PPD has committed to their clients that we will not allow this change to affect our performance in regards to job schedule and if required to do so, will work the extra day for certain schedule or milestone events.  PPD’s 4 day schedule will only apply during daylight savings time.

Digital/Electronic Estimating Systems reduces paper consumption-  PPD has implemented new Estimating systems that enable us to reduce our paper usage for bidding by 50%.

Recycling Program-  PPD participates in a PVC organization wide recycling program for office waste and materials.

LEED Participation- PPD is involved in several LEED projects.  These projects are The South Lawn Project at UVA, The Thomas Jefferson Visitors Center at Monticello and the just awarded College of William & Mary School of Education project.

PPD has been awarded the metal stud and drywall contract for the Flow Automotive Porsche/Audi dealership.

PPD has been awarded the contract for metal studs, drywall & acoustical ceilings for the Piedmont Virginia Community College Science & Technology Building.

PPD will be the selected metal stud, drywall & acoustical ceilings subcontractor on The Gleason, a high end condo project in downtown Charlottesville.
